LANGUAGE CENTER UV ARRIVES IN GANDIA
UVGandia will host for the first time English and Catalan courses taught by teachers from the Centre d'Idiomes, a university entity that promotes multilingualism and internationalization
With the endorsement of the Rector's Office and the General Foundation, during the academic year 2021-2022 the Center of Gandia of the University of Valencia will offer a wide range of English and Catalan courses available to the public. And it will do so thanks to the collaboration established for the first time with the Centre d'Idiomes of the University.
A collaboration that takes the shape of 90-hour English courses, from October 2021 - the beginning is right after the Fira de Gandia - to April 2022, with flexible scheduling (including Saturday mornings) and B1 and B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The offer of English courses also includes shorter courses, lasting 60 hours between October and April, aimed at young people and children from 6 years.
Regarding Catalan courses, Centre d'Idiomes will offer in Gandia C1 courses of 90 hours from October to April, flexible scheduling (including Saturday mornings). Besides, intensive Catalan courses have been scheduled in spring, from March to May 2022, aimed to students who wish to prepare for the exams of C1 and C2 level of Junta Qualificadora de Coneixements de Valencià (JQCV). These courses have a duration of 54 hours, from Monday to Friday, an hour and a half each day.

The University of Valencia thus takes another step towards achieving one of the most ambitious objectives of the so-called Lisbon Strategy: the commitment to local and regional development. In this case with the city of Gandia, with the La Safor region and neighboring territories, promoting multilingualism and internationalization through this new collaboration established between UVGandia and Centre d'Idiomes de la Universitat de València.
The courses will take place in the classrooms of the Centre Internacional de Gandia (calle Tossal, 8) and will be taught by teachers from Centre d'idiomes de la Universitat de València.
